-02-02 19:30:48thal20081367Rf8 looks like a stronger move than losing the exchange for a draw. Doesn't it?
-10-30 04:38:30waaek1008This was a tough problem, as most defensive problems tend to be, I think it deserves a rating higher than 1196. To thal2008, Rf8 loses to Ng6+ winning the queen

-03-05 20:47:58Jpatrick1328What makes this problem difficult is realizing that 1.Rb1+ doesn't force mate, and that White only has a draw. Psychologically that's a tough switch to make with only seconds.
-12-02 16:26:46JG27Pyth1388This is not an 1197 problem... it's flawed... easy to guess to Rb1+ -- quite hard to see that it's a drawing tactic. Bad players guess Rb1 and get credit, good players stop and scritch their heads. Get rid of this problem.
-02-08 07:55:37lavagirl1114This is one of the worst - if not the very worst - problems here. Going for the draw is not at all obvious, but the low rating is more typical of low rated problems.
