|2015-10-03 21:56:25||Bisonratte||1501||stockfish says nothing about 3.Bh4, the
natural move. after 3.Nfe5 i saw 3...h5
coming and had no idea what comes next.||
|2017-10-07 03:58:13||midn1ght||1671||@Bisonratte, both 3.Nfe5 and 3.Bh4 are
initially about +0.7 according to the
computer. But after 3.Nfe5 h5 4.Be2(!)
Bg4 5.Bxg4 hxg4 6.Qxg4 fxg5 7.0-0-0,
white is well ahead. The problem is Be2
can't be tested since Bd3 is also pretty
|2017-10-07 03:58:38||midn1ght||1671||So I give 4 stars for complexity, but
lack of clarity.||
|2017-10-07 21:05:06||Bisonratte||1501||@ midn1ght, u are right about 3...h5.
better is 3...Qe7 4.Qh5+ Kd8 and white
is a pawn up with initiative. But
according to CTS the initial move must
be better than 2 pawns. so, both moves
3.Nfe5 and 3.Bh4 are okay, but we have
to decide which one is...||
|2017-10-07 21:06:13||Bisonratte||1501||... better than the other. that was my
point, i guess. but believe it or not,
now 2 years later i would prefer 3.Nfe5||
|2017-10-08 22:11:08||grom43||1861||I think this must be a dual. But it is
pretty (Nfe5 opening the d1-h5 diagonal,
pinned f-pawn, etc). Easy to miss
Bisonratte's initial point: 3.Bh4 is
possible due to 3...dxc4? 4.QxQ+ then
Bxf6+ to win.||
