2009-04-09 03:15:40rockym1552If 2. gf3, then 2...Be5+ wins back the rook.
2009-05-29 14:09:48barz1628In french they say : "l'arroseur arrosé".
2009-10-06 11:32:21barz1628in other words, black is caught at his own game.
2011-04-21 09:35:11Garryback1679barz right proverb

2011-11-19 00:48:46mykingislonely1781last move is not needed.
2012-02-12 06:50:31iwinyoulose1423game is still an easy draw for black
2014-02-08 13:52:25floreatdunum1729Typical of those problems that you solve entirely by accident, one move at a time!
2014-02-08 18:09:01Improchess2051@floreatdunum Can you explain to me who in hell would play 1.Rd8 check instead of 1.gxf3 if they didn't see the whole thing?
2014-02-08 21:43:24chessisajedrez1743@Improchess, myself: Rxf3 (noticed gxf3, Be5+!), Rd8+ (2 break skewer) Rf8 (oops! missed it!), RxR (good!, Bc5+ follows). 50% calculation, 50% luck/1 move at a time. Have played it the right & the lucky way before. Lucky Bxc5 was available.
2014-02-09 12:45:07Improchess2051@chessisajedrez Completely right. I didn't realize one could miss 1...Rf8.
2015-04-16 17:48:52nune1559Me too @chessisajedrez!
2015-11-15 08:48:34Bisonratte1501intermediate check, removal of necessary exchange, double attack (although its a fork by definition, i like to distinguish this tactic from a pure fork without check)
2017-09-11 13:29:44Bisonratte1501i really love this one. both sides can do the same tactic :)
